Mauricio Acosta During his years as an in-house advertising, marketing and creative services specialist, Mauricio dreamed of launching his own full-service agency. The goal was to create an enviroment where driven, creative people would have the freedom to explore the far reaches of thier talents. In 2005, Acosta Design was born. Mauricio first developed his skills with the New York Islanders, where he created an in-house ad agency that saved the team more than $3.5 million a year. He later developed numerous products launches with colgate. Both business minded and deeply creative, Mauricio brings to this full-service agency a fluency in all aspects of brand identity and marketing know-how (not to mention Spanish).
Katarina Sjöholm With her expertise in strategic branding and packaging design for top-tier brands such as Bacardi Global Brands and Kraft Foods, Katarina bring management savvy, a keen eye, and an elegant modern aesthetic - plus a certain sparkle - to Acosta Design. Katarina hails from Sweden and has been developing her exceptional design, production and account management skills in New York City since 1997. During this time, she has applied her unique design perspective to brands such as Dewar's, Post, Sherwin Williams, Grey Poupon, Oscar Mayer, ShredStation and Jurlique. She has a BFA in packaging design from FIT.
